Dried Irwin Mango from Taiwan

This dried mango from Yun Hai is a world away from any dried mango you might find in the grocery. Each piece is one half of an Irwin mango, the most popular variety of mango in Taiwan, grown by independent Taiwanese farmers. The thick slices are surprisingly plump and soft compared to others that are finely diced and often brittle. The sweet and tropical flavor is purely mango with no added sweeteners or preservatives.

When I brought my first bag home, I carefully rationed each bite as a special treat. When it was nearly empty, I secretly hid the bag deep in my pantry to ensure no one else took the last piece. I’m not saying you shouldn’t share, but maybe think about buying an extra bag just in case.
