Germack Pistachios

Germack is a 4th generation family owned nut, seed and coffee roaster in the historic Eastern Market area of Detroit. They started out in 1924 as the first importer and roaster of pistachio nuts in America and they even invented the red-colored pistachio nuts that made the nut so popular. In short: they know pistaschios. They’ve been sourcing from small farms and roasting in small batches in their iconic space in Eastern Market for so long that I’m embarrassed we’re just sharing them with you now.

Large and lightly salted, these pistachios are still in their shell, ready to be piled on a cheeseboard or poured into a dish for sharing. Or do like we do in Michigan: grab them by the handful straight from the bag.
