Rancho Meladuco Medjool Dates

Tender and juicy.

The first time I tasted a date from Rancho Meladuco, it was a revelation. It wasn’t just that the flavor was richer, more nuanced, more caramelized, more deeply date-y than any other date I’d ever tried. What really stopped me in my tracks was the texture. Where many dates are dry and stringy, the dates from Rancho Meladuco are soft, tender, practically juicy.

Grown in California’s Coachella valley, harvested by hand by an expert palmero that climbs each tree to reach the fruit, and stored cold to keep fresh, these dates redefined for me just how stunning this fruit can be.

Storage tips
To keep the dates in peak condition, it's best to keep them stored in the refrigerator—left at room temperature, they'll dry out more quickly. If you want to keep them for longer than a few months, they freeze beautifully. When you're ready to eat them, bring them out of the fridge for 20 minutes or so to warm up for the best texture.

"The Medjool dates are beyond my wildest expectations... I have no words."
